1. The project that I think I have learned the most from and grown and deveolped from would be the painting on the canvas where we had to take three different pictures and combine them into one and then paint it. It helped me experiment with mixing with the three primary colors, red, yellow, and blue, and showed me that I can make any color I want to just by using those three colors. Also with the help of white or black. With this one art project it has taught me the most cause I learned new techniques for creating more life like objects like water, trees, and clouds. I even learned about tint, shade, monochromatic colors, and analogous colors.
2. The project that I found most relevant towards me would be the photoshop project. My father is a graphic designer and when I was little I would go to his work and watch him while playing in his office. He used photoshop a lot and I was always curious how the program worked but never asked how to use it. I was amazed at all of the artwork he could make with using photoshop and how photoshop can transform something to make something completly new. I finally got the oppertunity to learn about photoshop and use the program a little bit and i found it very confusing at first but it was also very cool to use and experience first hand at all of the things you can do.
3. The project that I think had the least value was the hand project where we had to plaster our hand and turn it into an animal. I prefer drawing and painting rather than sculpture and clay. I didn't like how the project didn't seem to have a lot of depth or purpose to it for me. Also I don't like group projects and in this project we had to have another person plaster our hand. I like doing art on my own because it is my way of expressing myself and my thoughts in my own way and if someone doesn't like my idea or my art then its not my problem because it turned out how I wanted it to be and how I like it. I like with I learn something or have more room for my creative input. For example, the painting on canvas project I got to mix my own colors and experiment with colors and I got to create every aspect of the painting.

What Will Happen Next: Photoshop
Today in Art 1 our class was assigned to make a "what will happen next" picture in Photoshop. We were to look on google for pictures that you can use in photoshop to combine using the program and effects that Mr. Sands taught us yesterday and create a picture that will leave the viewer wondering "What will happen next?" and they can use their imagination to think of the result. It was difficult because you first had to think of an idea but then once you got on the interent and went searching for the picture I realized that it is a lot harder to find the picture that I am looking for.

Photoshop
During class we went to the computer lab and we were taught how to use Photoshop. We combined a rhino and a zebra together. It was very confusing but it was cool to learn all of the things you can do in Photoshop. What made it difficult at times was that my zebra and rhino weren't the same or similar sizes like some peoples. Which resulted in certain parts of the rhino not having the zebra stripes on it. I then had to darken certain parts so it looked like there was a shadow. Then on the top of the rhino I had to add lighter areas so it looked like there was sun shinning on it and to help give it shape and a more realistic look.

Painting
For our painting project we had to take a forground, middleground, and background out of three different pictures and then combine them together into a drawing. Then we were to paint it onto a canvas. I actually enjoyed painting when at first I thought I wasnt going to like it. If i messed up I could just go back over it and it would be covered up so it made the process a little less stressful. It was a challenge when I had to add highlights to the water at the bottom because the color of the water in the picture was a strange color and I had to add highlights and reflections to make it look more like water. I really like how the clouds turned out but I think it looks different compaired to the style and brush strokes of other parts of the painting.

Pastel Murals
Our group made a mural of Abraham Lincoln. We got a picture of Abraham Lincoln then we picked colors for us to use then we pixalized it. Then we had to find an area in the school courtyard that would fit the picture. Once we picked an area we stared labeling what color each brick would be then little by little we colored Lincoln in sections. It only took us two days to color thankfully because there was pastel dust everywhere and the pastels were getting used up pretty fast. Also once we finished coloring the bricks so we didn't use up a lot of pastels we covered most of each brick then we went back over it with a big paintbrush to blend the colors togeher and so they would fill up each brick and flow in the picture better.

Clay
At the beginning of this project I had an idea and started making my bowl but then I realized that I didn't like how it was turning out. I then decided to start over and pick a different design for my bowl and I like how this one is turning out a lot more than my previous clay bowl.
